Art in a community can provide numerous benefits to residents. Beyond inspiring creativity and provoking thought, it can also lead to understanding among different cultures and serve as a focal point to bring us all together. As you drive through the streets of Mount Clemens, you may notice various outdoor sculptures on display at locations on North and Southbound Gratiot as well as Main Street. The outdoor Mount Clemens Sculpture project began in 2018 and the sculptures are on display thanks to the Macomb Cultural & Economic Partnership (MCEP) in collaboration with the MI Sculpture Initiative LLC. The program is funded by private sponsorships from businesses and residents in the local area. The sculptures are rotated annually in October.
