Macomb Twp. Partners with FAN for Expanded Addiction Services

“Macomb Township is proud to partner with Face Addiction Now (FAN) using opioid settlement funds to provide critical prevention, education and recovery support services at NO COST to our residents. This collaboration strengthens our community, ensuring access to necessary resources, without financial barriers,” said Macomb Township Clerk Kristi Pozzi.

Through this new initiative, FAN will help residents through addiction prevention and education campaigns and facilitate conversations around substance use. FAN hopes to empower residents to make healthier choices and know where to turn when help is needed.

FAN will also work alongside public safety departments in Macomb Township to provide training and support for first responders. These sessions prepare public safety professionals to respond to substance use situations with effectiveness and compassion. People in crisis need understanding and a pathway to help.

For individuals and families already struggling with addiction, FAN can provide direct support. Staff will connect residents with community resources—like treatment centers and recovery groups—and offer ongoing navigation to make the process less overwhelming. Families, who often carry the heaviest burden, will have access to one-on-one recovery coaching, giving them encouragement, education, and practical
tools to support their loved one and themselves. “Through this partnership with Macomb Township, we can meet people struggling with addiction where they’re at and walk alongside them, building a community where recovery is always possible,” said Dunya Kilano, FAN’s Director of Operations.

If you or someone you love has been affected by substance use disorder, FAN is here to help. To learn more about the services now available in Macomb Township, or to connect with support today, call the FAN Hope Line at (833) 202-4673 or visit faceaddictionnow.org.
