Macomb Township kids will soon enjoy an interactive play fountain at the planned Town Square development thanks to a $982,000 State of Michigan place-making grant. The grant is designed for projects that help communities create unique places for social gatherings and economic development. This funding will also help add sidewalks and outdoor restrooms to support events such as the Holiday Tree Lighting at Township Hall.
“The Township Board has been aggressively pursuing grant opportunities to bring residents’ state tax dollars back to Macomb Township,” said Macomb Township Treasurer Leon Drolet. “We fought to bring these funds back to our community, which will benefit all residents, especially our children and families.”
