Downtown Mount Clemens is a special place to be this holiday season. Come downtown for a day of shopping and enjoy an outstanding meal or snack at one of the many restaurants. Finish off your visit by taking a stroll down the streets to view our beautiful Christmas tree and light displays throughout the downtown. Grab an adult beverage in the Oasis Social District from a participating restaurant until 11:00 pm.
We encourage you to shop small instead of the mall on Small Business Saturday and throughout the entire holiday shopping season. Patronizing small, independently owned local businesses helps support our local economy. Downtown Mount Clemens has numerous retail stores with great unique gift giving ideas for the most difficult people to shop for on your list. The Anton Art Center Holiday Market is another great holiday shopping opportunity, and all of our downtown restaurants offer gift certificates. If you are looking for a place to hold your holiday party, there are over a dozen venues right here in Downtown Mount Clemens.
The fifth annual Mount Clemens Christmas Light Parade will return to the downtown on Saturday, December 14th at 7:00 pm. You can join Santa and his sleigh in all the fun with cars, golf carts, motorcycles, trucks, and floats decorated with hundreds of lights. We’ll close out 2024 with NYE Kids Night and our traditional New Year’s Eve Gala. NYE Kids Night will be held at the Discovery Center of Macomb located at 54 Cherry Street prior to the Gala merriments. Children will have their own New Year’s celebration, complete with a ball drop and mini fireworks display. Our traditional New Year’s Eve Gala festivities will follow, including entertainment, and the ONLY New Year’s Eve fireworks display in the metro Detroit area.
